“The Power of Self-Care: 14 Tips for Women’s Health and Well-Being”

By Faris Mouasher.

It’s time to prioritize your well-being and take care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically, and spiritually.

Too often, I hear from my clients, as women they’ve  put the needs of others before their own, leaving little time and energy for self-care, and forgetting to nourish themselves. However, taking care of ourselves is not selfish, it’s a vital part of a healthy and fulfilling life. Self-care is not a luxury but a necessity for filling your cup, replenishing your energy to keep on giving. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of 14 essential self-care practices that you can implement into your daily routine to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

These tips are easy to follow, yet powerful in their impact. Whether you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or just need a little  self-love or TLC, these tips can help you create a self-care practice that works for you. From nurturing your body with healthy food and exercise to taking time for mindfulness, learning to receive and self-reflection, these tips are here to guide and support you on your self-care journey.

So take a deep breath, let go of any guilt or shame, and let’s dive in and start prioritizing your well-being together.”

HERE ARE YOUR 14 POWERFUL TIPS ON SELF-CARE:

  1. Prioritize Sleep: Getting enough sleep is essential for our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep every night, and create a soothing sleep routine that can help you unwind and prepare for a restful sleep.
  2. Nourish your body: Eating healthy and nourishing foods is important for our physical health. Incorporate a variety of whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats in your diet. Stay hydrated and consider adding some supplements as needed.
  3. Move your body: Regular exercise and physical activity is important for our physical, mental and emotional health. Find activities that you enjoy, such as yoga, dancing, hiking, or running, and commit to moving your body regularly.
  4. Cultivate Emotional strength: Emotions are an important part of our lives, and it’s important to take care of our emotional well-being. Consider practicing techniques like mindfulness, meditation, journaling or therapy to process your emotions and build your inner emotional strength.
  5. Set Boundaries: Women often have a tendency to put others’ needs before their own. It’s important to set healthy boundaries and learn to say no to things that don’t serve our highest good. Prioritize your needs and respect your boundaries.
  6. Connect with Nature: Nature can be a powerful tool for our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Spending time in nature can help reduce stress, boost mood, and connect with our inner selves. Take a walk in the park, go on a hike, or spend time gardening.
  7. Nourish your Spirit: Our spiritual well-being is just as important as our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Find practices that nourish your spirit, such as prayer, meditation, yoga, or connecting with your community. Take time to explore and connect with your inner self and your divine purpose.
  8. Seek Out Support: Don’t be afraid to reach out for help when you need it. Whether it’s talking to a trusted friend, family member, or seeking professional support, it’s important to have a support system that you can rely on.
  9. Receive Massage and Bodywork: Massage and bodywork can be an excellent way to nourish yourself and support your physical and emotional well-being. Whether you prefer a gentle relaxation massage or a deep tissue massage, taking time for regular bodywork can be a powerful tool for self-care.
  10. Explore Healing Modalities: There are many different healing modalities that can support your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, such as, acupuncture, energy healing, or Reiki. Explore different modalities and find what resonates with you.
  11. Practice Gratitude: Cultivating a practice of gratitude can help shift your mindset and focus on the positive aspects of your life. Take time each day to reflect on what you’re grateful for and express gratitude to others.
  12. Practice Self-Compassion: Learning to be kind and compassionate to yourself can be a powerful tool for self-care. Treat yourself with the same kindness and compassion that you would offer to a close friend.
  13. Set Intentions for Receiving: Setting intentions to receive can help you cultivate a mindset of openness and receptivity. Whether it’s setting an intention to receive love, support, or abundance, take time to focus on what you want to receive in your life.
  14. Engage in Self-Care Regularly: Make self-care a regular part of your routine. Set aside time each day or week to prioritize your self-care practices and honor yourself. Remember, self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential for your overall well-being.

Implementing these 14 self-care tips in your daily life can have a profound impact on your physical, emotional, mental, energetical, and spiritual well-being. By prioritizing self-care, you’re not only taking care of yourself but also creating a strong foundation for a fulfilling and happy life. When we take care of ourselves, we’re better able to manage stress, navigate through our emotions, and connect with our inner wisdom. This, in turn, allows us to show up as our best selves in our personal and professional life our relationships, and other areas of our lives.

So, whether you’re a busy professional, a stay-at-home mom, or someone who is struggling with the many roles or hats your wear, taking the time to care for yourself is essential. Remember that self-care is not a selfish act, but an act of self-love and self-respect. When we take care of ourselves, we have more energy and resources to give to others. So if you’ve been neglecting your own well-being, it’s time to take action and prioritize your self-care. I hope these self-care tips will inspire and guide you on your journey towards self-love and inner peace. You deserve to feel happy, healthy, and balanced, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

“HOW TO MANAGE STRESS & LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT”

By Faris Mouasher

We’d all like to think we are above it. To think that we’ve got things together, at least most of the time.

Being a good partner, parent, sibling, daughter/son, friend and business person takes a lot of energy. It can be hard work.

It’s hard until you acknowledge what is really going on inside of your body, something that ripples out into the very heart of who you are, everyone you touch and everything you do.

You can call it tired, angry, sleep deprived, disorganized, numb, sick, overwhelmed.

Bottom line is you are stressed.  It’s a throwaway word, with a stigma because it’s associated with being a victim. You’re better than that, right?!

“It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.” ~ Lou Holtz

You know that having good sleep, eating nutritious food, exercising and meditating support you to deal with the negative effects of stress, and forms a solid platform to build from when busy with family, work, friends and a multitude of other responsibilities.
Yet often you know you need more… So how do you come back to living the empowered, harmonious and fulfilling life that you want?

Here’s How;

1.  Take your breath off automatic pilot.  Get conscious with your body and breath. Breathe consciously, deeply and gently.

Research shows that when stressed the shallower our breath becomes, breathing through the chest. Oxygen levels reduced leaving you feeling tired, irritable, disconnected and often with body pain.

Breathing plays a huge part in our general wellbeing. The points below guide you to breath deeper that will realease new life force throughout your mind body and soul. Destressing and detoxifying.
1.  Breathe in and out through your nose.
2.  Gently draw breath down into your belly and allow it to expand.
3.  Gently draw your breath back up to your diaphragm and then into your chest then exhale.

You will balance your hormonal and endocrine systems.  You’ll activate your para-sympathetic nervous system, release adrenal gland overload, restore your bodies energy and Yin-Yang balance. You will feel centered, grounded and resilient.

2.  Take a warm Epson and Himalayan Salt bath weekly.
Your body will release toxins, ease muscles, reduce inflammation, heal and relax you.
*1 cup Epson salt to 1 cup Himalayan Salt.

3.  Do things differently.
Drive a different route to frequently visited destinations. Try different foods. Wear different clothes. Talk to people that you wouldn’t normally approach.
Why? To break up the automatic habits that have become your comfort zone. Leave the familiar, create flexibility.

4.  Receive healing body work.
Your body wears the brunt of stress which overflows into your thoughts and feelings. When you receive nurturing bodywork that allows you to come back to your center, you align your bilateral brain function and find more balance in your mindset and emotions.

5.  Ask for help.
It takes a strong, courageous person to be vulnerable enough to seek support and ask for what they want. Either in growth phase or if you’re challenged, they are both stressors on you and your body.  Seek the support of friends, family and mentors. You deserve it.

Live life from an empowered, grounded place where flow and ease become the norm. Yes, you will be stressed but you won’t feel or act stressed. Create the reserves to deal with the things that life presents.
Take time for yourself. Nurture yourself. Get the support you want – you’ll feel more at ease and empowered.

Insights Into Navigating Through Your Powerful Year Of 2023

Insights Into Navigating Through Your Powerful Year Of 2023

Navigating through 2023 – A Year of Soul-Searching.

A 7 Universal Year in numerology, encouraging Introspection and pursuing Spiritual Truth.

When we deepen our spirituality and conscious awareness, we listen to those messages and pick up on the signs from our higher self.

Devoting time to stillness, breath, inner work, healing, yoga and meditation improves our listening skills and enhances our focus, clarity and expands our creative window and deepens our Inherent connection.

This is a time of embracing your inner journey like never before to explore what you truly love and who you truly are in alignment with your soulful life.

This is a time to have a transformational pathway to navigate your emotions, release old belief systems and patterns that no longer serves you and shift more deeply into your inner wisdom and power.

The theme keywords of the number 7 and for 2023 are Wisdom, Perception, Introspection and Spirituality. However, you may have your own keywords that may reflect this and resonate with you more strongly.

This is a time to create greater trust and embrace your angel guidance and your spirit guides so you can achieve great things and accept the changes that will come. A continuous time of surrendering and building confidence in moving forward through uncertain times.

We’re living in times of immense movement. Many of us are healing from past trauma that has set in motion deep personal growth beyond what is comfortable.

This is the time to reap the rewards of greater ease of achievement in your life through the inner journey work you do, honour the divine feminine approach as opposed to having to go out, push and fight to achieve it.

“Your Outer World Is A Reflection Of Your Inner World”

It’s often best to work from the inner self outward not outwards in.

Honouring why we came here from a truly soulful alignment is giving us permission to embrace the divine being within and live the life you’re born to live.

In reverence of honouring the divine feminine and celebrating your womanhood …I encourage you to continue on the path you seek that fulfils and liberates you to love what you do, deeply love your self more and make a difference as you follow your heart and dreams.

I didn’t know this was coming!

I didn’t know this was coming!

I didn’t know this was coming!

Mothers Day 2019.  My wife, Gincori, one of my daughters, Tahira and I were playing together, taking time to honour her day. In a moment, the unforeseeable happened.

Gincori went from happy, healthy and strong to not being able to speak clearly or have control of one side of her body.

My daughter and I looked at each other with disbelief.  I recognised the symptoms I new we had to act fast.

Fortunately, on being Present for Gincori and getting the help that was needed at that time plus five and a half weeks in hospital, three procedures and months of rehab and healing work, Gincori is recovering remarkably and is well on her way to her usual bright and robust self.  What happened?…

Gincori had an undetected hole in her heart from birth which caused a blood clot to the brain and to have a stroke.

My family and I witnessed in real time the healing that can happen when we are open to it. The lesson – never ever let anyone tell you what you can or can not be, do or achieve.

We all have an incredible ability to heal and create infinite possibilities in our own life.

Whether it is big life events or the grind of a busy life and the demands of family or business, we all need to take the time to replenish, restore and renew. Experiencing this first hand and knowing the results, I began the 30 Day Body Mind Soul Challenge

We all have challenges that we experience. The problems only really come when we don’t have the reserves to deal with them. If you want to step into more of who you are and discover the ease you can have, look into this.

Here’s what Alexandra shared about her 30 Day Body, Mind, Soul Challenge – “I came here at a crossroad in my life…I have skyrocketed into my own beautiful woman and true energy. I once hid and ran from life…I am finally coming home into my true feminine self…Read More

Golden Mandala Poem – Om Mani Padme Hum

Golden Mandala Poem – Om Mani Padme Hum

Pulsing through the universe…timeless…she breathes

My heart is on fire, ripple after ripple expanding within me

She speaks of balance, union, love, freedom…and waits my reply

Powerful…Multi-dimensional…Wise

I see before me the universe unfold

Inner and outer worlds in constant merging

Consciousness…Feminine…Masculine…Divine

She dances the energy of life

I chant the sacred sounds and feel the source of life

Am I spirit or man…I am love and the eternal flame

I must rise; I must dance with this golden light

Stillness…Softness…Strength…Sublime

Energetic portals, vortexes, time and multi dimensional spaces

Awakening humanity, lifting vibrations and healing self

Time to wake up and fly…The heavens are open

Spirit guides the way…Actions must be taken

Honour…Reverence…Sacredness…

“OM MA NI PAD ME HUM” Painting by Monk in Bhutan

Thangka Mandala Painting – “OM MA NI PAD ME HUM”

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Mandala with frame_IMG_7435_LR-2

“OM MA NI PAD ME HUM”

This Thangka Mandala Painting was painted by a beautiful and humble

monk who lived in the highest mountains in the west of Bhutan. As is

often customary, the monk will not sign his name to the artwork

because he said it wasn’t relevant that he put his name to it because

the act of painting itself is one of reverence and meditation. Money is

never expected in return for his painting; (but if one wishes; a donation

to the monastery will be accepted for all the monks); and is often gifted

to someone whom the monk is guided to gift it to – and that was

myself; who in turn I have gifted it to Faris.

The mandala is painted as a process of reverence and meditation for

the monk personally; and is then offered to those who view it as his

own act of compassion for all sentient beings to be free from suffering,

and also used by the viewer in their own meditation in their pursuit of

attaining their own enlightenment and freedom. It is also left for the

viewer to connect with ALL the Cosmological dimensions and energy

that is encapsulated in the mandala painting.

The artist lives with six other monks in retreat for much of the year; and

this mandala was painted whilst he was separate from the other five

and in silent retreat for approximately three months.

The artist has trained formally as an artist that takes at least seven

years; and the first year of training was only allowed to sketch the

shape of Buddha. He has learned the art of making coloured paint

from minerals from the earth and even using ground gold dust and

gold leaf to form gold paint; however due to language difficulties I am

not certain whether this gold paint here is made using those methods.

The artist makes his own brushes using the combed hair of his cat,

and bound the hairs on a finely carved piece of thin twig from a pine

tree to use as his brush. The canvas is hand woven from silk and is

woven locally and this is a unique style of canvas only made in this

area of Bhutan.

The monk said through a translator that he is in a state of trance when

he paints the words of the “OM MA NI PAD ME HUM” mantra; but

because the ink has to dry for each round of letters it took him a long

time to complete.

It has been framed using acid free materials to respect and preserve

the painting. The glass is the highest Museum quality UV protection

glass; so that UV from daylight will not penetrate the glass and

degrade the paint or silk.

“OM MA NI PAD ME HUM”

OM (AUM) Represents body, mind speech

MANI Jewel, altruism

PADME Wisdom

HUM Combination of altruism and wisdom to transform the

impure body, mind, speech to ‘pure’; to one of freedom

from suffering and to reach a state of enlightenment.

Short notes on Buddhism in Bhutan.

The form of Buddhism most commonly practiced is the Mahayana

Buddhism in its tantric form. It focuses on compassion toward others

and the liberation of all sentient beings through the practice of the six

perfections; generosity; moral discipline; patience; effort; concentrations

and wisdom.

The word Tantra comes from the name of a body of texts left to a

select few of Buddha’s early disciples. Tantra involves identifying with a

guardian deity through deep meditation and the recitation of mantra.

The most well known mantra is ‘om mani padme hum.’

Tantric Buddhism is based on the same beliefs as other forms of

Buddhism: that all the consequences of your actions in this life,

or karma, forces reincarnation. Humans should aim to become

enlightened which means a release from the cycle of incarnations into

the state of Nirvana – a state free from suffering.

Tantric Buddhism recognises many symbolic deities

and bodhisattvas – ‘Buddha’s-to-be’ that have achieved enlightenment

but decline Nirvana in order to be reincarnated into the world of

humans to help others.

Bodhisattvas are in practice treated more as deities than as

enlightened human beings and occupy the centre of a world of many

gods: subordinate deities; opposing, converted, and reformed demons;

wandering ghosts; and saintly humans reflecting the shamanistic folk

religion of the regions into which Buddhism expanded, an example of

the accommodating nature of Buddhism.

You will see many images of these deities in the wall paintings in

the Dzongs (fortresses) and temples in Bhutan. The peaceful deities

sometimes take the form of wrathful deities to subdue evil spirits. The

nudity of the deities implies that the conventions of this world should

not surpass the importance of human physicality as a practice toward

union; and the sexual unions between male and female represent the

union of knowledge (the male) and wisdom (the female). Without

wisdom, compassion leads nowhere and without compassion, wisdom

is useless.
